CRF-78R Fast Courier (CRF-78R Fast Courier)

Production of the CRF-78R Fast Courier started about thirty years before the Battle of Yavin.  This starship was used to transport important people, information, and cargo quickly.  It has no shields, but mounts a laser cannon in a turret for defense.  The most famous of these starships is the Mouldy Crow, owned by mercenaries Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors.  They have modified the sublight engines, hyperdrive and have installed an advanced targeting computer from an Imperial Frigate.  They lost this ship at the Valley of the Jedi and replaced it with a descendant of the CRF-78R, the CRF-156T Fast Carrier.
